Too cute!

This morning Matt was leaving for work, and Charlotte is SUCH a Daddy's girl. Matt played with her for a while, said goodbye then went downstairs to gather his things and leave. Charlotte stood upstairs holding onto the railing spindles just watching him and squawking as if to say "Please don't go, Daddy! Come back and play!" Matt waves to her (and I try to get her to wave back...with no luck)...so he finally goes on his way and shuts the door behind him. The INSTANT he shuts the door Charlotte starts waving bye-bye with a very somber look on her face...it was sad, but cute all at the same time!

Charlotte's first word was yesterday at Eric & Heather's house. Heather watched Charlotte yesterday. Shortly after I got there I was sitting on the couch with Charlotte on my lap and Indy (their dog) comes up to me and Charlotte to check us out. Charlotte very clearly said "doggie" ... I know I wasn't hearing things because Heather said she heard it too! Looks like she'll be an animal lover just like her big brother!

We're getting used to the pitter-patter of Charlotte's feet around the house. Mason is amazed that she actually walks...I think he thought she would crawl forever. His eyes light up when she starts walking toward him. He's also becoming much more patient with his sister and they are having tons of fun playing together. It just melts my heart to watch them laugh and chase each other...so much fun!
