We have Mason in Sunday school at church, so we now sit in church with just Charlotte Rose while Mason is in his class. After the first 10 minutes of mass we sit down and Charlotte takes one look at the diaper bag and says "Snack!". A little while later we are standing and singing, she gets up off her chair, grabs my hands and starts dancing like a fool. When the song was over she looks up at me and says "agin" (again) with the cutest smile on her face. She was a very good girl in church, but apparently she likes it only for the snacks and the dancing :)
Charlotte also learned another new word...one Mason didn't learn until he was almost two. The word, you ask? It was "MINE!". Last night Matt had her drink in his hand, she walked up to him, grabbed it out of his hand and said "MINE!" Ahhh...the things having an older sibling will teach you.
Mason is your typical 3 year old. He says on Sunday morning "I don't want to go to Sunday school!" or "Mommy, I want you to stay at Sunday school with me!" We drop him off and he cries for a minute...usually until I'm 10 steps out the door, then I hear him stop crying. By the time we get back from church on Sunday he says "Mommy, I want to go to Sunday school!" So apparently he DOES have a good time when he's there! He brings home all sorts of cute projects they do, but he never seems to remember the lesson (i.e. God wants us to be kind, God wants us to share, etc). I guess...he IS only three :)
Mason will start preschool on Nov. 1st. A spot finally opened up for him at one of the schools I had him on a wait list for. I'm so excited to have him start. It will be three days a week, only for 2-1/2 hours each day. But it will be so good for him. I'll take time out of work and drop him off every day he does go. He's getting to be such a big boy!
OH! The cutest thing Mason did the other day...Mason and Daddy were sitting on the bottom step. Mason said "Charlotte, do you want to sit by us?" So she went over and sat by them. Then Mason says "Mommy, do you want to sit by us?" So I go over and sit on the floor by the bottom step. We're all snuggled together and Mason says "We're all here...our family together. " It was so sweet, and I'm not even sure where he got the concept of 'family' from, but it's obvious he DOES get it.
We have been busy, but just enjoying our time...our family together :)
