Halloween lessons applied to everyday life

We were driving to preschool this morning and since I hadn't eaten breakfast I grabbed the poptarts Matt forgot on the bench by the front door for his breakfast. In case you're wondering, we did managed to feed the kids breakfast :)

Charlotte noticed I was eating the poptarts and asked why I was eating them. Here's how the conversation went:

Mommy: "I'm eating them because I'm hungry, I didn't eat breakfast!"

Charlotte (laughing): "Are you so hungry you could eat the big red van?"

Mommy: "Ummm, no, I don't think I like big red vans."

Charlotte: "Why not?"

Mommy: "Because the doors and the windows hurt my teeth when I chew on them!"

Charlotte: "Mom, why don't you just SUCK on them!"

Of course! Why didn't I think of that! Jawbreakers...big red vans...what's the difference?!? I love being a Mom! :)
