Isaac will celebrate his second birthday next week. He keeps reminding me that he's getting older...starting to learn how to ride a tricycle, confidently knowing his colors, using his words and ditching the sign language, etc. There's one last remnant of his 'babyhood' I've been holding on to. He still nurses...only occasionally in the morning, at naptime, and at bedtime. Until now...
I have been trying to get something other than 'snuggle' involved in his bedtime routine...so we started singing songs. His favorites are "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Little Bunny Foo Foo". Tonight I got in bed with him and said "What do you want to do first?" ... figuring he would ask for his 'snuggle'...but he DIDN'T. He asked for "li bun foo foo". So we sang, and sang, and sang. We cuddled and said our special goodnight...and I tucked him in and left. For the first time EVER, he didn't ask for his 'snuggle'. It's the beginning of the end...I'm happy and sad all at the same time...

awwww. I don't even remember Timmy's last nursing session -- it was so gradual when he weaned. And we sing songs at bedtime, too. :)
