All by himself...

Isaac has been writing "I" for Isaac for quite a while...on his papers, on the walls, lots of places. But he has never showed any interest in writing any other letters. Ever.

We keep a small magnadoodle in the van and he plays with it on occasion while he rides. Today he said "Mom! I wrote an 's', but it looks like a 2. Yeah! I meant to write a 2!" He keeps drawing intently, and he says, "Mom! Look!". I tried to get a glimpse while driving (I know, I know..eyes on the road!) and realize he wrote "Isaa" on the magnadoodle. I said "WOW! Now you just need one more letter to spell your name!"

Sure enough, when we pull in the driveway, he shows me his masterpiece. We go inside, I get the camera, and this is how he posed for me :)

Not to compare, but I don't remember the other kids writing this early. I suppose, he IS almost FOUR! Isaac just holds it all in until he is ready. My sweet, smart boy :)
