Chicken mummification continues. He has been named King Cluck by the kids :) I was supposed to wait a week, but seeing the liquid in the bag grossed me out and I just couldn't take it anymore. I decided the chicken's salts must be changed.
It wasn't nearly as gross as I was expecting. The feel of the chicken was certainly surprising to me...it wasn't squishy anymore at all. It felt more firm, lighter, and ...leathery? Smooth? It's hard to find the right word.
Photos would not capture it, only video would do...here are three videos in sequence documenting tonight's changing of the mummy salts :)
