A new cold and windy record...

No, the record has nothing to do with the actual weather itself :) Maggie is on chicken duty this week (we of course need to help her), and it's c-c-c-freezing out (as Maggie would say). We seriously debated walking up to the house backward because of the massive amount of wind in our faces!

The best part of her being on chicken duty is that she's getting really good at getting all her winter clothes on twice a day to tend the chickens. Also, she's learning that even when she doesn't feel like it, they are depending on her to take care of them.

She also gets to collect the eggs...which just never gets old...and today she got the record for total number of eggs - 22!!! And that's out of a total 23 hens! She also gets to be the first to see the cool eggs the hens leave us. Check out the sizes of the biggest and smallest eggs from today...and the cutest little lady in town :)

Seriously, that egg is so big she had trouble holding it up for the picture with her little hands! We haven't cracked it yet, some are wondering if there could be three yolks inside....hmmmmm.
