Charlotte's glasses

We found out at Charlotte's early childhood screening (required for kindergarten) that her vision wasn't as it should be. After a visit to the eye doctor for a thorough exam (complete with dilation), she has a pretty bad astigmatism and is far-sighted. Poor girl hasn't been seeing clearly for who knows how long! I'm glad we caught it. She hesitantly picked out her frames and wasn't too sure about having to wear them. We ordered them and had to wait a week or so before they came in. In the week's wait, she got TOTALLY excited for her new specs...she even made a paper chain to count down the days.

Yesterday, we got the call that her glasses were ready to be picked up. So off we went and she was THRILLED to get them. We also had to do some shopping, and she wore her glasses through the store and was looking around like she had discovered a whole new world! She said they were like 'magnifying glasses' and that everything looked 'bigger'. She wears them all the time so far and isn't complaining about them all...I hope it stays that way!

Here's a pic of our beautiful girl in her new glasses :)
