Home visit

We had our 36 week home visit last week, which means our midwives and birth team all assemble at our home. It was great for everyone to meet, for the kids to see everyone again, and to fill baby's room with all the wonderful people that will be there to welcome her into the world.

We have done lots of careful planning and gathered all the necessary supplies, yet nothing can truly prepare our hearts for what is to come...and it's a wonderful feeling :)

So, for the first time, baby was measuring right on at 36 cm (my fundal height actually...it had been 2-3cm behind earlier in the pregnancy), her heartrate was great at around 140 beats per minute, she is sitting nice and low, and both her body and mine are preparing for the big event.

My hemoglobin (iron level) was UP to 12.25 (thanks to my liquid chlorophyll...icky, but good for me), my weight gain is right on track, and my blood pressure is good.

Most of this I'm documenting for my own purposes...I'd never expect most of my blog readers to be nearly as interested in this information as I am! :) But I do know there's a few of you out there that enjoy the fine details :)
