Maggie @ 7 months

Time has FLOWN. A busy August I'm sure contributed to my baby's 7 month birthday sneaking up on me.

Maggie, my sweet angel, you are certainly a Momma's girl. You love to be with me, and do NOT like to be left alone in a room. You also have been getting up at least once (usually twice) in the night for the last month or more...not sure why. Maybe it's teething, maybe you're hungry, maybe it's a cold, maybe it's because you've learned to crawl...but I'm sure I'll never figure out exactly why you've decided to interrupt a perfectly good night's sleep. In the meantime, when you wake up I pull you in bed with me, and nurse you back to sleep. Hmmm...which leads me to believe that may be all you want. And right now, I'm ok with that too :)

In the last month, you learned to CRAWL on all fours. I seriously think you scope the perimeter of the living room just to find all the things you aren't supposed to have (cords, diapers, newspaper, etc). You follow me down the hallway when I go to get dressed, put laundry away, etc. You also have started to pull up on things...a laundry basket, and the bathtub when the other kids are in it...you love to splash in the water while standing and leaning over the edge of the tub. And the other kids get a kick out of it too. You are also doing pretty good sitting, you now can sit in the bathtub and you love to chew on the bath toys and splash.

You like to eat...oatmeal, bananas, avocado mostly. You do NOT like sweet potatoes! I'm taking a little break from solids as you have a cold right now. You love to nurse, and are learning how to drink out of a sippy cup. You love to play peek-a-boo. You love to play with your brothers and sister. It is AMAZING to see how much they love you...and how much you love them. Your face lights up when they enter your space, and it makes my heart so happy to see my kids loving one another. FAMILY, you know exactly who yours is, and it's obvious you love them dearly even though you can't say a word.

Speaking of speaking, I SWEAR you said 'Maaaa-ma' to me when I walked though the living room one morning. It was the sweetest thing, and I'm not sure you meant it, but it still made me smile.

I am so thankful God has brought you into our lives. I can't believe you are crawling already, and that you are 7 months old...it is all going by way too fast. I am cherishing every single moment with you. Happy 7 months, baby girl. I love you...my precious angel...you are my heart.

Here's a picture of Maggie this morning, in toy box heaven :)
