Work leave and a bit of optimism

It's officially been approved, my leave from work starts May 3rd. It was a hard decision for us, but my heart tells me it's what I need to do. It feels good to have made the decision, and I'm looking forward to being home with our kids and enjoying some time with them before Baby #3 makes it's arrival. The hard part, we'll miss Jennie...she's been such a big part of ours and the kids' lives for the past 8 months and we'll miss her!

On another note, I've been such an optimist lately, counting my blessings...here's what I'm thankful for:

  • I'm thankful for God's presence in my life...He is SO good to us!
  • I'm thankful for a husband that understands the way a wife & mother's heart works...you can't always explain it, it just needs what it needs.
  • I'm thankful for two wonderful children who are so excited to be a Big Brother (again!) and a Big Sister (for the first time!).
  • I'm thankful that I'm having a healthy pregnancy and that baby looks healthy.
  • I'm thankful that I have options...that I CAN take a leave from work and stay home for a year if I so choose!
  • I'm thankful that I have sisters that understand me, especially since they are both pregnant!
  • I'm thankful that I have friends that feel like sisters to me.
  • I'm thankful that Josie is staying put and that Julie is doing well.

We all know pregnancy hormones can make us a bit sappy...so I guess it was my turn :)

Bring on the sappy! Thanks for reminding us to count our blessings!
