Prayers

I had a regular checkup with my WONDERFUL nurse practitioner last week. She found a nodule on my thyroid. She checks my thyroid every visit, and I've seen her throughout my pregnancies, and every year otherwise. So this is definitely new for me. Thyroid blood work all came back normal, which really doesn't mean much. I had an ultrasound on my thyroid yesterday, they found a 2.2cm (that's 7/8 of an inch) nodule on my left lobe and multiple cysts & nodules on my right lobe...the largest of those nodules being 1.4cm. I meet with a surgeon on Monday to figure out what to do next, most likely they'll schedule a biopsy for early next week.

The good news is that 95% of thyroid nodules are benign, but obviously the biggest concern is to rule out cancer.

I debated whether to post this or not, but I figured the more people I have praying for me the better, I believe in the power of numbers! Please no comments on this post, spend the time saying a prayer instead :)

I'll update after I meet with the surgeon on Monday...
