Sickness

I was really looking forward to last Sunday (yesterday). The kids had their Sunday school music program, and I was so excited to see Charlotte Rose 'perform' for the first time, and to see Mason be a shining star in the program seeing as it was his 2nd year, and 5th performance. However, mother nature was CRUEL...I woke up to a massive bout of nausea on Sunday morning, no vomiting, but feeling AWFUL. I tried, but figured I'd never make it to mass...lo and behold, I mustered the strength to get in the shower and out the door. I sat throughout mass, unable to stand and participate at all...and managed to make it to the gymnasium after mass to see the performance. It was worth it...the kids were adorable! Charlotte and Mason both sang and danced their little hearts out. I was all smiles and even got a little teary seeing how much they've grown...performing in front of a crowd takes a lot of courage...and they both did amazingly well! Sorry no pictures, in my sick state I forgot the camera.

I spent the rest of the day yesterday in bed. Matt woke up at 1:30am sick with the same thing, then Charlotte woke up at 3am vomiting in her bed. Everyone slept in until 9am, and then even Mason puked this morning (thankfully he gave me warning and I had the bowl ready!). Isaac is the only one safe *for now*...I'm praying he doesn't come down with it tonight. I'm prepared though...I layered not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR sets of sheets on his bed in case the need arises to peel one pukey layer off at a time.

Amidst the sickness, I'm thankful that I got it first, that it seems to be short lived (24 hours), and that I'm able to be well enough to take care of everyone else. Oh, and I'm thankful that we *should* be rid of it by Christmas. :)
