Today we went to the zoo! The kids had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa went with us. We had lunch there, and then saw LOTS of animals...moose, elk, giraffe, lions, penguins, monkeys, and of course lots of birds, raccoons, badgers, etc. I didn't include pictures of the animals specifically...you've seen them before :) The kids were excited each time we walked up to a new exhibit to see what it had in store.
I apologize I don't have pictures of Charlotte's face for you today, she was so busy looking at the animals that I didn't get to see much more than the backside of her myself! She loved feeding the goats and sheep....they were her favorite today.
When we were done Grandma and Grandpa let them each pick out a special rock from the gift shop. Mason chose and amethyst, Isaac some type of smooth rock, and Charlotte chose one that was shiny and gold. We got in the van to come back to Jody and Chris's and Isaac said "I want to show Daddy my rock when we get home!" I told him it would be 7 more days until we see you again. He said "Ok." then a big pause...then "How 'bout only two more days until we see Daddy?!" I told him that would be nice, but unfortunately it would be more than that. I said "Do you miss Daddy?" And of course, he said "Yes!" The rest us feel exactly the same.
We came home and spent some time relaxing, Maggie got a bath and a nap. Then the kids all went out in the pool and I washed them all up out there so baths were done for the day :) Tonight, more games (Jody & Chris have a huge closet full of good stuff!) and relaxing.
I feel like you've been gone for a week already, yet there is a week to go before we see you again. I pray things are going well for you, that life and work in a strange land and culture are treating you well. I pray you are safe and happy and not sick.
We love and miss you TONS!!
