Apple crisp

With the apples from our tree I made a pan of apple crisp last week. This is the BEST recipe I've found (thank you Sarah P.!) I got it from her years ago, and it's the only apple crisp I ever make!

Apple Crisp

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Peel, core, and slice about 5 medium apples. Place in the bottom of an 8x8 pan.

3. Combine 1/2 c. water and 1/4 c. sugar, pour over the apples.

4. In a bowl combine:

  • one sleeve of graham crackers, crushed into pieces (I do this before opening the package, then just dump them in the bowl)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. oatmeal

5. Dump this mixture over the apples in the pan.

6. Melt one stick of butter and pour over the graham cracker mixture.

7. Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
