Today, we got home from preschool and the kids unpacked their backpacks. It was library day at school so they each got a new book. Mason decided to read his new book to Charlotte. They sat leaning against the patio door in the dining room on this beautiful, sunny day...and this is what I saw.
Mason read the whole book (he needed help with three words, 'wakeful', 'break', and 'flea')...you can see some of the words in the pictures...I was so impressed!! It was a tearful Mommy moment...

We used to read the Napping House every day! My kids don't often spend 'precious quiet' moments together, but when that rare moment occurs, it always makes me proud to be their mommy. Even when Jack calles me 'stinky butt mommy'.
