for once...

Anyone who has ever gone to church with a little one has probably experienced this.

During mass I usually notice one lucky Mom/Dad with a peacefully sleeping toddler on their shoulder and wonder "How do they do that??" ... my kids NEVER sleep in church! Usually, we go to church and have to chase kids, hand out snacks, dole out toys, referee their fighting, etc...and we're lucky if we even remember what the message was during mass.

Until today...today Mason and Charlotte were in Sunday school, and I was the Mom with the sleeping toddler on my shoulder. Isaac cuddled with me for most of mass with his blanket wrapped around him...he drooled all over my shirt, and woke up toward the end of mass with the "What's going on?" and "Where am I?" look on his sleepy little face. My arms were sore from holding him, but it was such a precious moment with my boy who rarely stops to give his Mom a hug or kiss. :)

That is funny, because I just had that thought at church today! As I was the one handing out snack and repeating, "please be quite Pastor Paul is talking!" and I was thinking that I have noe idea what the Message was all about! :)
