19 days until the cast comes off (hopefully!). I feel bad for the little guy...he's having trouble getting around, and hasn't adjusted as quickly as I had hoped. He does hobble around and walk on it some...but the thing is so slippery he can't walk at all on non-carpeted surfaces :( It's a bummer for the whole potty training thing too, although it hasn't slowed him down (he only peed in his diaper twice today...and pooped in the toilet THREE times!!).
While I feel bad for Isaac, and I hope his leg is healing well, I'm mostly looking forward to getting the cast off as it is a major pain in my rear. My days are dramatically different...more difficult with a little boy who can't get around well, which means I end up carrying him - all 27 pounds of him PLUS his added cast weight. I don't mean to complain, but having a babe with a broken leg just plain sucks!
On a good note, I signed Charlotte up for dance classes tonight :) She starts on Feb 26th...I just know she's going to LOVE it!

rosie in dance classes?!?!? adorable!
Sometimes a slipper sock (an adult size probably to fit over the cast) that has the grippy rubber stuff on it makes that cast less apt to slip on non-carpeted surfaces. It is what we put on some kids with walking casts at the hospital. I have a couple pair that are new and I don't use because they stick a little too well to our floors and I trip. I blame the slipper but it is probably just my own incoordination:) Let me know if you want them and I can run them over! Hope that helps!!
