Got your attention with that title, didn't I :) Matt and I had a night away in Minneapolis...he planned everything, including a package (the Hanky Panky package) at a swanky boutique hotel in Minneapolis. It was FABULOUS! I had no idea where we were going, so we pull up to the hotel and walk inside...very cool place. As we're checking in the receptionist asks "Would you like your champagne sent up to the room right away?" That was my first clue it was going to be a fun night. We get up to the room and there were rose petals on the bed...I felt so spoiled!!
The next 24 hours were fantastic...some walking around, stopping in an Irish pub for a drink, a phenomenal dinner at the hotel restaurant, out to a few more bars, then a good night's sleep. This morning I actually got up and used the fitness center at the hotel and then we got ready, had breakfast, and came home. It went by fast, but it was SO relaxing and wonderful for Matt and I to be able to spend some alone time together.
Oh, the occasion for all of this...it was 10 years ago that Matt and I met...at happy hour at The Smiling Moose via an introduction from Dave. I can't believe it was 10 years ago...time flies!

That sounds so awesome! You deserve it! It also made me realize that there are a lot of memories at the Smiling Moose. That is where Fran and I met also! Ahhh, those were the days.
